Hill Queen DARJEELING

DARJEELING

The name "Darjeeling" has its origins in Tibetan, with "dorje" signifying a thunderbolt (initially associated with the scepter of Indra) and "ling" denoting a place or land.

This city, often referred to as the "Queen of Hills," is a prominent hill resort. Its economy revolves predominantly around tourism, with peak visitor seasons occurring from April to June and September to November. Darjeeling boasts robust road, rail, and air connectivity with Kolkata.

Darjeeling, a large and meticulously planned hill station, captivates with its elevated location, rich flora and fauna, and chilly climate, earning it the moniker "The Queen of Hills."
